Statistical seismology

Research

I am a researcher working at the intersection of computational geoscience, seismology, and planetary science. My work focuses on developing robust numerical frameworks, remote-sensing workflows, and machine-learning models to analyze Earth and planetary processes. Beyond pure research, I am an entrepreneur dedicated to building scalable technological solutions, as evidenced by my work co-founding FEZtool, where I lead R&D in geospatial algorithms and Earth science data analysis. My goal is to build open computational tools and data-driven pipelines that bridge geological observations with predictive modeling.

Background

My academic foundation was built during my B.Sc. in Geology at Kharazmi University, followed by an enriching experience at the University of Lille’s Pre-PhD Summer School on Water Resource Management. I also had the privilege of beginning my Master’s studies in Exploration Seismology at the University of Tehran’s Institute of Geophysics under the mentorship of Professor Majid Bagheri; while I eventually transitioned away from that program to pursue a PhD opportunity, I am grateful for the direction it provided my research path. Prior to this, I valued the experience of lecturing for the Space Research and Technology Institute (SRTI-BAS) in Bulgaria, in collaboration with Europlanet. My research journey has been further enriched by working alongside the team at the Center for Complex Networks (CCNet) at Shahid Beheshti University. Mentorship has also been a deeply meaningful part of my work, particularly the opportunity to share data science concepts with the talented students of the Iran National IESO 2024 Team at the Young Scholars Club (YSC). Beyond academia, I have learned a great deal through collaborative professional roles, including contributing to strategic planning at NovaVira, supporting project management efforts at ARYANIC, and assisting with product development and entrepreneurship programs at GreenOly.
